We were drawn to this venue by its promise of a theatrical dining experience—something reminiscent of an Emperor-style lunch we once enjoyed in Beijing, though rooted in a different regional tradition. The ambiance did not disappoint. The show was vibrant, and the decorations were immersive, transporting us into a world of historical elegance and local flair. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into crafting a visually captivating experience. Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. The preparation was noticeably poor—meats were tough and lacked the tenderness one would expect from classic dishes. The “Dong Bo Rou,” a signature item known for its melt-in-your-mouth texture, was dry and chewy. The beef resembled jerky more than a delicacy. After the meal, I felt
