We had an amazing time with our guide, Rahman, who speaks excellent English and has a great sense of humor. He was very kind, attentive, and always looking after us. He took us to beautiful places and, most importantly, captured wonderful photos and videos of us—memories that we will cherish forever! Thank you so much, Rahman! Three hours sleep, one hour hike, zero regrets. Ijen does something to you that's hard to explain in a caption. The crater rim at dawn with clouds rolling below proper surreal. What I didn't expect was how good the tour organization was. WhatsApp confirmation the night before, guide waiting exactly where they said, small group of eight people max. My Swedish roommate from the hostel booked separately and had a worse experience. Details like that matter more than people think.
