This activity offers exceptional value for money and is highly recommended. We departed from Canggu at 6 PM, boarded the boat at the Bali pier at 10 AM, and arrived at the Ijen Volcano parking lot at 12:30 PM. The volcano gates don't open until 2 PM, so we rested at a small shop in the parking lot while waiting. We arrived at the Blue Flame Point at 3:30 PM. It was already slightly light around 4:30 PM, so we had to keep up our pace to avoid being stuck in traffic. Seeing the Blue Flame was truly breathtaking; you could see the lava flowing slowly, and the flames shimmering blue. We couldn't see the sunrise in autumn, but we could wait at the summit for dawn to see a stunning sea of clouds and the sulfuric acid lake. Don't miss the 2 AM hike experience—immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. The entire trip includes private transportation, a guide, gas masks, headlamps, and goggles—a complete service that offers incredible value.

Our tour guide, Li Jiaxin, was very competent, the driver drove safely, and the scenery of Ijen Volcano was beautiful. It's definitely worth a visit.

The tour guide and driver were excellent at scheduling this trip. A special thank you to the driver for accommodating our itinerary, picking us up at 7 pm so we could comfortably watch the sunset at Tanah Lot Temple before setting off. Furthermore, I highly recommend our hiking guide, Sigit! He not only communicates fluently in English and is incredibly friendly, but he also has an encyclopedic knowledge of Mount Ijen, providing a clear and concise guide. He even proactively helped us find the best photo angles, demonstrating professional photography skills. The only downside was the 7-hour drive from Bali, which was quite tiring; especially the long queues for the boat and the time spent disembarking. A huge thank you to the driver for his hard work, driving us all night. In conclusion, although the journey was tiring, the opportunity to visit Mount Ijen during our Bali trip made this tour well worth it!

We had an amazing experience hiking to the Ijen volcano. We didn't fancy going into the crater so we asked if we could leave a little later and just go for sunrise, they were really accommodating and sorted everything out for us. The hike was great, and our tour guide Yadi was fantastic, really nice and interesting guy and spoke great English. We got a perfectly clear morning and the view was incredible. Would highly recommend East Java Paradise Travel, very professional, got back to any messages straight away and made everything really easy for us.

We joined the tour to Kawah Ijen through Cheap Bromo, and while it was a long journey, from Kuta at 5PM to Ijen and back the next day around 6PM, it was absolutely worth it. The hike to the summit was challenging but manageable, and although we couldn’t get closer to the famous blue flame due to heavy foot traffic down to the crater, we chose to hike up instead, and wow, what a decision. The sunrise and lake view from the top was really, really, really breathtaking. A massive shoutout to Edy, our driver and unofficial photographer. His kindness, calm vibe, and friendly made the long journey so much more enjoyable. He’s not just a driver, he’s part of the experience. If you get Edy, you’re in for a treat!


