I purchased a card pre-loaded with 400 Taiwanese dollars. It was convenient as I didn't have to bother with topping it up myself. I picked it up at the counter in front of the MRT entrance on the second basement floor of Taoyuan International Airport. It's a counter you absolutely can't miss. All I had to do was show the QR code I received when I made the reservation. I didn't even have to exchange a single word.★

The signal is good. Easy to install. 20 GB/5 days is more than enough. The signal shows 4G. I mostly use it for Instagram stories, Amap, and general payments. It works normally, maybe a little slow when I was at Pifenggou National Park, but overall great. You can even use TikTok with location services turned off.★

I used this eSIM during my recent trip to Hong Kong, and the overall experience was excellent. Activation was very fast; I was online within minutes of scanning, which was very convenient as I didn't need to change SIM cards. Excellent tour guide and driver. Besides explaining the objective facts, the tour guide added his own insights, and you could feel his passion for Alishan. The driver drove very smoothly; even on the winding mountain roads, I didn't get carsick at all – fantastic! 👍 This solo trip allowed me to meet fellow solo travelers DL and other lovely fellow travelers. We helped each other and explored Alishan together, making it a very enjoyable trip. The grilled sausages outside the Taoist temples were delicious! The only necessary expense during the trip was the Alishan Forest Railway (NT$100); everything else was optional.
