Purchase one EasyCard per person. It can be used on all transportation except trains. Convenience stores also accept it. The pick-up location is right in front of the MRT platform on the basement level. Be sure to bring the purple token, which is the MRT round-trip ticket. You'll need an EasyCard and two tokens.★

We booked the tour to depart from Kaohsiung - it’s a long drive to and from Alishan! I would recommend Taichung or Chiayi if you don’t like long car rides. Tour guide Stella was very funny and able to communicate well in English with our group of 8 (Vietnamese/Chinese/Australians). Stella was welcoming and controlled the speed of travel well. She was considerate of the girls who felt sick in the car and pointed out good photo spots for those who wants cute pics. I was more keen on the history and walking around Alishan, but this tour doesn’t give you a lot of time to enjoy the area, and also only covers a small area of Alishan. It’s like a taste-test! Alishan is worth coming back to in the future!
