Reviews: Katoomba: Lyrebird Hop-On Hop-Off and Scenic World Pass
Guest User2026-09-15
This is an undoubtedly unmissable experience. We got the train from Sydney (2 hours and very cheap $10/£5.00 single each). Through GYG we booked the hop on/off bus and the Scenic World access. The instructions for the bus are misleading and incomplete. We weren’t sure if the bus stop, ticketing or times. This bus goes at 15 minutes past the hour. Note the entire lap in 1 hour so careful planning is required to go from stop to stop. If you get off then it’s 1 hour until it comes back. At the end of the day we got an Uber back to town avoiding a 40 minute bus tour to complete the lap and a 50+ minute wait for a train. The Scenic World is outstanding with thrilling rides and views. All the lookouts are free to access from around the town Honeymoon, Echo Point and many others. There is also a decent public bus service in which you can use your Opal Card (NSW public transport service). Overall we had a great day, experienced the views, atmosphere, rides, food and shopping.★

Reviews: Blue Mountains Hop On Hop Off Tour

Love the Hop on and hop off bus. Easy to travel around Blue Mountain. It is valid for 3 days. Total 20+ stops. Also the scenic world tickets were good. Unlimited rides within the day. ★

Reviews: Sydney Blue Mountains Small Group Tour Special offer (Max 14 people): Includes three cable car options + Three Sisters Peaks + pick-up and drop-off service available in city center (NSW 2000 only) Sydney Blue Mountains National Park Tour

The Blue Mountains are truly beautiful. To be honest, the Three Sisters are just three rocky peaks and not particularly special, but that doesn't detract from the stunning scenery. Of the three cable car lines, the red-railed train is the most interesting; you should definitely try walking down to the bottom of the valley, as you'll experience a feeling of falling.
