Receiving the card was very smooth. When you leave the country, if you ask for a "refund" at the reception, a processing fee will be deducted, but the entire amount you loaded onto the card will be returned, and you can simply exchange it for your home currency at a bank in the airport, so I recommend loading a fairly large amount onto the card.

The advantage is that you can travel on the fastest train from Taichung to Taipei at a discounted price, but the disadvantage is that the train station is far from the city center. However, if you are going to tour Rainbow Village, there should be no problem with the route.

This time, we went on a family trip, with four people in total. We chose this ticket because we felt it had the advantage of being able to ride the subway as many times as we wanted without worrying about the remaining balance, rather than having to charge it and then ride the subway. There was a pick-up point in the corridor on the way to the airport MRT station, so it was convenient; all you had to do was show the QR code and pick it up. I haven't actually calculated it, so I don't know if it paid for itself, but I think it's very convenient because you don't have to frequently charge it to make sure there's no remaining balance. If I go to Taiwan again, I'd definitely buy it!


