A visit to a distillery is always interesting; it helps you understand both the production process behind the beverages and the culture that drives the work that goes into making them. Glengoyne does not disappoint in these respects, especially the latter. Jordan guided us with dedication and patience, a touch of humor that made everything lighter and more enjoyable. I was very skeptical about the whisky-chocolate combination, but I was pleasantly surprised. In my experience, the chocolate, among other things, was of excellent quality; it complements and mellows the whisky, making the tasting more approachable even for less accustomed palates. I highly recommend the experience.
