This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.★

My trip to Osaka was from November 2nd to 6th, 2025. I bought the JR Kansai Mini Pass, which was quite convenient and cost-effective. I visited Kobe and Kyoto, both of which had new rapid transit lines. On the last day, I also took the Airport Express. Note that cars 5-8 on the Airport Express might be assigned to Wakayama, so be sure to take cars 1-4. I also took the Arashiyama Scenic Railway; make sure you buy the correct section ticket, as it offers round-trip tickets. I bought the wrong one.★

We purchased five tickets for our family at once and used them conveniently. We had a schedule change, so we were able to change the time right away. We took one ticket each and entered one at a time. Please note that once you enter, you won't be able to confirm your seat, so I recommend taking a photo of your seat in advance.★

Great value for money! We used the pass to get around Osaka on the loop line, then from Osaka to Hiroshima, then to Miyajima and back, then onto Kyoto. This saved us almost £100 in total 😊★

It was a great experience. The package I bought on Ctrip was a great deal, cheaper than buying it directly at the counter, and it even included a serving of takoyaki at the 58th-floor restaurant.
