I booked a day trip with a group during the off-season, but I was actually the only one there. It was truly wonderful! My driver was incredibly interesting and could tell you everything about Banna and Pu'er. He was a real chatty guy. The round trip from Jinghong to Pu'er took three hours, which was a tiring day for him. The winding mountain roads to Pu'er were a real test of driving skills, but the driver was incredibly skilled. The trip went very smoothly and I had a blast. Jingmai Mountain is beautiful, and the ancient villages of the Bulang ethnic group are truly unique. Climbing the mountain and visiting the villages was a wonderful experience, with fresh air and a quiet environment. I'd definitely come back to Pu'er someday.

The driver and tour guide, Master Guo, is good, very talkative and knowledgeable, from history to plants, introduced a lot of things. The car skills are also OK, very stable, I like drying, and the other ancient village is basically a homestay. It's a good deal for two people to charter a car.
