During a two-week trip to Portugal, I decided to try an eSIM and ordered it directly through Trip.com. The process was simpler than I expected: after payment, I immediately received a QR code via email, and the Trip.com app clearly explained how to add the profile to my iPhone. The speed was quite comfortable, sufficient for both maps and calls in messaging apps. The only thing is, it's best to activate it in advance.

It's convenient for traveling around Europe. Switching eSIMs is a hassle, and with the time difference even within Europe, it's hard to know when your data will expire, so this eSIM was very convenient. It's also cheap. For those who don't use the internet, I recommend 1GB per day. For those who often use Instagram, etc., 50GB over 30 days seems like a good option (my friend said that he was about to run out of data).

The card was functional only in FRANCE. Check well and claim before. What I recommend... Take a map directly with your destination COUNTRY. La carte était fonctionnelle uniquement en FRANCE. The eSim worked perfectly as soon as I installed it ! I'm not rating it five stars because there was a slight problem : it suddenly and completely stopped working after a few days. I contacted their support, and they were quick to provide a new eSim, which worked for the rest of my trip.
