Reviews: Luang Prabang half-day tour: Mekong River sunset cruise [A ONE CRUISE]
Guest User2026-07-16
We arrived with plenty of time after an incredible day exploring the waterfalls and local villages around Luang Prabang, and this was the perfect way to end it. The boat was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy unobstructed views of the Mekong. We visited during the green season, so a little cloud cover kept the temperature comfortable, and the clouds cleared just in time for an absolutely stunning sunset over the mountains. It was such a relaxing, peaceful experience and the perfect way to wind down after a full day of exploring. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Luang Prabang!

Everything was great, but the seating arrangement was disappointing. I'm not sure if it was random assignment, but the seat wasn't good.
Reviews: Luang Prabang Pak Ouv Caves + Kuang Si Waterfall 1-day tour [Mekong River cruise to Pak Ouv Caves]

This was a fantastic itinerary, far beyond my expectations! In the morning, we visited a small village, then went to Kuang Si Falls (about two hours of free time). Lunch was a buffet on the Mekong River, which was delicious, with unlimited drinks and barbecue. Outside the restaurant, there were elephants you could feed and interact with for free (which reminded me of the hundreds of yuan I spent on elephant grazing in Xishuangbanna a few days ago – what a waste!). The baby elephants were adorable, but one even got angry, which scared us humans quite a bit. Then we took a boat trip to Bau Caves, followed by a rather long boat ride from the caves to the city. Along the way, we stopped at a village selling local wines and tried some (a kind of shopping stop). Beer and drinks were provided on the boat. We disembarked in the city, and the tour ended there; tipping was optional. This day trip was incredibly worthwhile and great value. Although it was advertised as an English tour, even those who don't speak English could participate, as most people don't speak much English anyway.

This was a really great experience! The company is so well organized. We had a fantastic time and even got offered feeding elephants and riding them for free! Lunch was sooooo big and beautiful! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
