Reviews: Luoyang Shaolin Temple and Longmen Grottoes Day Tour(Optional Group Tour)

Wow, the Longmen grotto especially is both everything and nothing like I expected! I appreciated the tour guide at both the Shaolin temple and the grotto telling stories and giving explanations for the things we were looking at. Both places were extremely, extremely busy, but I managed to see everything I wanted to!

Taking a boat is more suitable for the elderly, as it involves less walking and is less tiring, while offering views of waterfalls and mountains! Huanghe Bridge is more fun than Yesanxia, and the mountains there aren't particularly high.

Reviews: Luoyang: Longmen Grottoes & Shaolin Temple Day Tour (with Kung Fu Show) | CITS × ZANBUS

Lisa did an amazimg job. She has very good english which made it easy to follow her detailed explanations and allowed us to get answers to all our questions. She was very attentive throughout and made it a worry free trip for us. She even accompanied us to the trains to ensure we continue our journey as planned. The car was comfortable and the driver brought us safely from A to B. The iternary was great, as we started off with the Grottoes, wich is a nice walk along the river and full of history. From there we headed to the shaolin temple - ca 1.5 hr ride - great opportunity to ask plenty of questions or simply take a nap. At the temple we had a nice lunch, all readily waiting for us upon arrival. Then we attended a shaolin monk show, visited the temple complex (among the finer monumemts we visited) and the pagoda forrest. All of it really coming to life thanks to Lisa's explanations. 100% recommended.
