We used the eSIM in Thailand—everything worked perfectly in Pattaya and Bangkok. The internet connection is very fast, and there were no difficulties with setup; everything was extremely convenient.
2GB is plenty for a short trip, as long as you don't constantly watch videos. The connection is stable, and we had no signal issues.
The only caveat is that it's best to remember the activation time in advance so you know when your plan is running out. I liked that you can easily extend the plan if needed. Overall, it's a very convenient travel solution.★

I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.★

For those who need to make calls while hiring a car or for pick-up/drop-off, this is highly recommended! I was a bit skeptical when choosing a plan that advertised unlimited calls, because most Thai SIM cards no longer include call functionality (additional verification or top-up is required to make calls). However, I actually used the call function to contact the driver multiple times during my trip, so I really highly recommend this plan!! (The eSIM provider is Joytel)
