I bought two e-SIM cards for myself and my husband for a cruise on the Persian Gulf. I activated them at the airport in Doha. It didn't work at first, so I contacted customer support, and they explained everything I needed to do to get it working. I've already activated my husband myself.
The connection on the cruise ship was good, especially near the shore. But even at sea, it worked. It was intermittent, but there was a connection. The connection was excellent at anchor and in cities (Doha, Manama, Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas Island, Dubai).
I paid the equivalent of one day of connection on the cruise ship for 15 days. So I recommend it.
Especially since this isn't my first time buying from Trip.com.
I also bought a card to Hainan and the Seychelles (I had connection on all the islands and at sea).★

I used Trip.com’s eSIM for my trip to Saudi Arabia and overall I’m pleased with the experience. The setup was straightforward — I purchased the plan online and received a QR code for activation. According to Trip.com it works with 4G/5G networks in Saudi Arabia and supports short-term durations 5 with data-only packages.★

It's convenient that you can quickly find and connect to the right plan. The prices are better than in the UNIsim app. However, the connection speed sometimes left much to be desired.★

Installing the eSIM was very easy with the QR and instructions provided. I had no problem with internet access since I was on an umrah trip and wasn’t out and about much but when I was, I used mostly WhatsApp to communicate (messaging and calls) or just to search for information.
