We were picked up by a driver at a time and we met our guide Julio at the foot of the mountain. In the small group (7th) it took place at 7 a.m. The time was well chosen, because it was still cool and the route was later getting full. Important: the last kilometre is more climbing on a rock wall than walking. However, it was a great experience and the view from the top is worth it! The Julio Guide was super and has told a lot of interesting about the island.★

We are bird watchers and general nature lovers here in the UK so it was great to experience the nature in Mauritius. Our guide was very informative and looked after us extremely well (we are both in our mid seventies although reasonably fit). Anyone contemplating taking this excursion, particularly those of advanced years, should be aware that it involves a tough walk through the forest.★

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time until the tour went off ( either Tui takes a lot too early, or the other participants came too late) and the weather was not good (strong wind, always lighter rain). But it was very interesting (plants and history) and the guide was sympathetic and could explain a lot. Unfortunately no bathing at the waterfall, and we could only see herbs shortly and from the large bats. Had already hoped to see more animals
