Irman took our family (2 adults and 2 kids) out to see a lek of cock-of-the-rock, toucans and all sorts of other birds. He was very communicative and easy to work with. Patient and great with the kids. Provided extra binoculars and his spotting scope was especially great for the kids. His knowledge of birds is extensive. Would definitely recommend Irman for your birding adventures!

We lived the Mindo Ziplines tour! The staff and guides were wonderful. Although it was a little hard to find, we had a wonderful experience. I’d definitely recommend it.

We had a magical day in Mindo, seeing hummingbirds, butterflies, doing the waterfall trek and a tour of a chocolate farm. Alejandro was absolutely brilliant, the best tour guide I had in Ecuador - informative, helpful, lovely and chatty. He helped us understand mindo and we learnt a lot about Ecuador too. He also helped us to spot Toucans! Great experience.

Our guide for the day was Christian. He was AWESOME! He provided us with so much information about their history, volcanoes, cultures, etc. The zip lining was way more than expected. There were 10 lines and they were so accommodating when I was slow climbing to the next one. The chocolate tour is a must as well. You get to experience so many things from preparing to tasting and even a chocolate mask! And of course the butterfly and hummingbird farms put such a smile on my face. Getting to have them land on you and see them up close was unbelievable. Everyone should try and do this tour and hope you get Christian as your guide!

This tour was absolutely the highlight of our trip. Gabriel was our guide for a fabulous tour of the cloud forest in Mindo with incredible bird sightings. After picking us up early in the morning from our hotel, we headed to the cloud forest. Along the way we stopped at several different spots to see vast numbers of bird species. Gabriel was an expert in identifying the different birds for us. The shear number of different hummingbirds and tangiers that we saw was unbelievable. We also took a cable ride across the Mindo valley for spectacular views followed by a nice hike to a beautiful waterfall with many more bird sightings along the way. We had a most delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We then headed in search of the Andean Cock of the Rock and were able to see several in a remote area. This was such an awesome experience. Gabriel took such great care of us and made sure we had plenty of time for photography. If you love birdwatching and/or bird photography, then this tour is a must with the best guide ever, Gabriel.


