We took a private tour. We were picked up from our hotel, and everything was on time. The driver/guide was pleasant. He explained everything about the island and where everything was as we went. The first stop was Oslob. We arrived, were given our group number, and waited in a comfortable spot. No need to sit where the main line was. We were there in 10 minutes and were already on our way to the boat. Then we had lunch (optional), and then went sardine fishing. We were also alone with the instructor, and they filmed us with a Go Pro. Superb, no lines, no waiting. Then we went and ate, the driver waited patiently, and then we headed back to the hotel. I definitely recommend it. I don't have many photos, but the videos are beautiful.★

The company provides instructions in Chinese so that travelers can feel at ease. The staff are also very professional and offer rental of action cameras to help shoot underwater photos and videos, so you don't need to use your own mobile phone.★

My second attempt at diving. The description said it would take 3 hours, but it actually took 1 hour and 20 minutes. I spent 20 minutes getting equipped in the office and then being briefed in the water. The dive lasted 40 minutes (my instructor seemed nervous and angry; I kept surfacing, and then he put more rocks in my life jacket). Overall, it wasn't bad; I'm even glad the dive lasted so long because I was really afraid of doing something wrong. The sardines were amazing, and I saw a turtle in the distance. Later, I went snorkeling and saw one too, but much closer. The remaining 20 minutes were spent changing clothes and sending photos and videos. I'm giving the instructor a "Good" rating for his behavior; it didn't boost my confidence; it only made me more nervous. Although he later said everything was great!★

The tour was superb, with a very safe and friendly driver and cute guide. The fantastic ocean views, whales, schools of sardines, and tropical fish made it a truly exceptional experience. I also thought the price was reasonable. I tipped the guide 100 pesos and the driver 500 pesos, and it was worth it. Be sure to take this private tour. I'll add photos later.★

Reviews: Snorkeling with Whale Sharks of Oslob and Sardines in Moalboal with Tumalog Falls

Oslob is a long way from Cebu, so the excursion started at 4 a.m. The car was comfortable, and we managed to get a nap on the way. Upon arrival, a local guide met us, held a queue, and took us to breakfast at a cafe with a beautiful view. We ate mango rice and our hotel lunchbox, changed into swim clothes, and waited comfortably. At the right moment, we returned to the pier, rented a GoPro, and boarded the boat. The ride lasts 30 minutes, and the sharks are amazing. Then we went to a waterfall, stood under the streams, and swam. We returned to the same cafe for lunch. This is probably the biggest drawback: the food was really bad, really bad. Then we headed to Moalboal. The sardine dive was well organized, and we even saw a turtle. Keep in mind that the sardines are quite deep, so it's difficult to reach them with a mask, and without fins, you can't – you have to look from above. Overall, the excursion was great, despite the lunch mishap.
