Bought 2 for our 2-week Costa Rica trip. They are the cheapest, and use Claro network. They worked well (only 4G) in all cities and major roads. Did not work consistently in rural areas like the national parks.

We were really worried when we arrived at the airport because we forgot to buy a SIM card before departure. Luckily, we selected this eSIM online. At first, we weren't sure if it would work, but when we arrived at our destination and turned on our phones, we were amazed to find that we were connected to the local network and even received messages successfully! The e-SIM worked fine, except for the three hours of Maya outage from December 31st to January 1st, 2026. Otherwise, the connection was fine, including calls. I was traveling to Goa.
