Where to begin? First, Elisabeth the tour guide was the best tour guide I have ever had in my 20 plus tours I have taken. Knowledgeable, amicable, and the most clear directions I have had in a tour guide. She made a great experience even better! I would recommend her strongly for this tour!
Our bus driver was great-as well!
The tour itself was magical. Well, I have been on several scenic drives but this one may, emphasis on the May, be at the top of the list.
Starting in Munich and driving through Ettal and then to the fairy tale tribute town (And the Passion Play) of Oberammergau was so picturesque. To top it off with tours of the Linderhof Palace and the Neuschwanstein Castle was a surreal experience. This was so amazing that I would do it again in a different time of year!★

I absolutely think this tour was worth the money . The tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate with all he in formation. . I learnt so much from her Beautiful scenery .colours of Autumn were spectacular . I didn't really know what to expect . I was pleasantly surprised . .
I had a meal at the restaurant at the bottom of the lift where the museum was before you go to the Eagles nest . Don't bother the meal was awful . I would prepare yourself and take snacks ..sandwiches ect . Drinks are available on the bus.
The last town we visited below the nest the food was much better .

We met at Radius tours and boarded a charter bus for transport to Neuschwanstein Castle. The company underscored several times via email, text and verbally that the tour departed at 9:15 am. Alas, it did not. We left at 9:30. Other than that, the tour was fantastic. There is a two hour drive to the castle town. Before visiting Neuschwanstein, you are afforded a chance to visit Hohenschwangau, King Ludwig’s family home. After that, you are given an option to walk up to Neuschwanstein castle or drive via bus. We chose to walk. Please be advised, this trek is about 1.5 miles up at a grade of about 50 degrees on a rocky trail. You must be in above average physical condition to hike up to the castle. 6 of the 50 people chose the walking route. At the top, there is an opportunity to walk to Mary’s bridge to get great views and pics of the castle. The bridge sways and moves to allow for weather expansions and such, but it is an uneasy feeling when on it. We then went on a 30 minute tour of the interior of the castle. (Please note this is an extra cost of €24 per person; it is not covered by the price of the tour featured here). The castle is stunning and majestic, as are the surrounding views. Charlie was our guide and he did a solid job explaining the history associated with King Ludwig and his unfinished castle. This is a must see when in this area of Germany.★

We had a great tour, filled with so much history. Our guide Adam Martin was incredible! He also gave us so many other tips on how to explore more of Munich. I would highly recommend doing this tour with a guide because they are so knowledgeable and you learn so much.
