The idea of a day trip to the Mekong River was a whim. The local guide was fantastic and took us to various attractions. My favorite was the coconut boat trip, which made me feel like I was in the Amazon rainforest. We stopped at some places like coconut candy and honey, but we weren't forced to shop. The guide saw that we had no intention of buying, so we continued our shopping. The guide's name seemed to be Lem, but I'm not sure if that's how he got along. He talked a lot about Vietnam's culture and history, which was very informative. We chose an English lunch for over 80 yuan, which included a light meal. It was super cost-effective.

Traveling alone is really suitable for this kind of tour group. It is a very interesting experience. Although there are some attractions that are selling nature, there is no pressure. This journey can still see the scenery of the Mekong Delta and local life.
