Reviews: Kamikōchi Hiking 1-Day Tour|Azusa River Hidden Gem: Myojin Pond Mountain Pilgrimage [Round-trip from Nagoya]

Perhaps because there were only eight of us—the driver also acted as our guide—the driver didn't go into the scenic area. He told us we could return the same way we came after walking to Myojin Pond. Having done our research beforehand, we were able to successfully visit Myojin Pond and return. The weather wasn't good that day; it was raining, but rainy days have their own charm.

A different travel experience from domestic destinations; it was very quiet, without any odds and ends shops, except for the two spicy snacks I encountered, which terrified me…
Reviews: Explore the Japan Alps: Kamikochi Day Hike from Nagoya (Luxury Bus Option Available)

We headed from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge, and after taking pictures and playing in the river, it was the perfect amount of time. We also had lunch at Kappa Bridge, so it was a very fulfilling day (*^^*)

Overall, it was pretty good, except for the long travel time. Our tour guide, Iris, was excellent; the group consisted of people from all over the world, and she was very attentive to everyone.
Reviews: Daily departures + 2 pickup locations | Nagoya, Shirakawa-go Gassho village + Hida Takayama + pure play 1-day tour

Our tour guide, Kaku, was incredibly dedicated and responsible – absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended! 👍 He provided commentary three times, in Chinese, English, and Japanese, and even reminded us which restaurants were good, which were average, and where to go first. He also distributed electronic maps and tourist brochures. I've participated in other local Japanese Gassho-zukuri village bus tours before, and none of the guides were this attentive. The itinerary included a 10-minute photo opportunity at the observation deck before continuing to the village, saving us the 30-minute round trip hike! 😂 This time, I didn't expect to have to climb to the observation deck myself, so the time spent in the village felt a bit rushed. But Kaku was wonderful – highly recommended! 👍
