Product reviews: Nagoya to Shirakawa-go & Hida Takayama: UNESCO Heritage 1-Day Tour

Our guide, Ricky, was handsome and friendly, and he provided a very detailed guide to the attractions.
To be honest, the day trip was pretty rushed. Hida Takayama didn't really need to be included in the itinerary; there were just a few specialty shops, and the morning market was mostly staffed by elderly women selling their own vegetables, much like in China.
The afternoon trip to Shirakawa-go was worth a visit; it was truly photogenic, with a fairytale feel. I wouldn't recommend paying to enter the XX House, as it's just a former farmhouse with some agricultural supplies. I recommend heading directly to the observation deck for photos, and children can enjoy playing in the river.
Overall, this day trip is highly recommended. Transportation is effortless, and you can catch up on some sleep on the bus.
