Trip.com eSIM Review: The Perfect Solution for Southeast Asia! Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) I spent a long time searching for a convenient way to stay connected while traveling in Vietnam and Thailand, and trip.com's eSIM exceeded all my expectations! This was my first experience with a virtual SIM card, and now I'm definitely not going back to the old method of searching for local SIM cards. What I liked most: 1. Instant activation and simplicity. I purchased the plan directly in the trip.com app while still at home and received the QR code in a couple of minutes. Upon arrival, I simply added the eSIM in my phone settings, enabled data roaming, and that's it! No lines, no swapping physical SIM cards, no dealing with salespeople in an incomprehensible language. 2. 5G speed is a reality! I had instant coverage in both countries. In Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) and Thailand (Bangkok and Phuket), the internet worked at 5G/LTE+ levels. Maps, navigation, social media, and video calls all worked smoothly. No lag or interruptions. Streaming videos and downloading large files were also possible.
