The Viettel Local 5G eSIM was very easy to set up. I followed the instructions provided and simply turned off data roaming in the phone settings. I scanned the QR code before departure at Changi Airport, and upon arrival in Vietnam, the eSIM activated automatically without any issues.
Connectivity was excellent throughout my trip. I visited Sapa, Fansipan, Cat Cat Village, and the Glass Bridge, and experienced stable network coverage in all these areas. The only place with no mobile signal was at the Alpine Coaster, where there was no network available at all.
In Hanoi, the connection was consistently strong, even while travelling on a sleeper bus between destinations. Overall, I had no issues with speed or connectivity during the entire trip.
Highly recommended for hassle-free connectivity when travelling in Vietnam.★

I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.
