We really appreciated what a safe driver Jorge was- no one felt car sick!
We visited some cool places that had great guides and expansions in English; like a bizcochos maker, sun dial and alternative map maker at the equator, and an indigenous weaver.
Sadly the rain was coming down hard by the time we made it to the poncho market in Otovalo, so we didn't stay long★

Our tour guide Diego was fantastic! He met us at our hotel with a smile and away we went! The day was planned perfectly with a stroll through historic Quito, chocolate tasting and history information along the walk. We visited a local market where we learned about local foods, vegetables and fruit. We even sampled some fresh delicious fruit. Great cultural experience! We were able to check all the boxes of the things we wanted to see and do! Diego drove us EVERYWHERE and engaged us in fun, educational conversation. He was a friendly, knowledgeable and easy person to spend a whole day with! Thank you Diego for an adventurous and fulfilling day! ★

We booked a day at the Papallacta Hot Springs with LatitudeTripec, through ***. Andrés picked us up at our hotel at the arranged time (he was a few minutes early). We then headed out of Quito towards the hot springs, with a few stops to admire the scenery along the way. Andres is knowledgeable, personable and fluent in English, making for good conversation along the drive.
The Papallacta Hot Springs were truly amazing and the cool air made them even more enjoyable. Andres helped us get checked in and checked on us throughout our soak but allowed as much time in the pools as we wanted. It was a truly relaxing and magical experience.
Supper was at a local, authentic Ecuadorian restaurant. Nothing fancy but the food was delicious.
This tour was the perfect combination of fun and relaxing and I would highly recommend it.★
