Our trip to Baños was an unforgettable experience, made even better by our fantastic guide Carlos and our driver, who picked us up from our hotel bright and early at 6 a.m. We began the day with a delicious breakfast at a local restaurant—a perfect start before the adventure ahead. I recommend eating well, as you’ll be on the road for about 2.5 hours heading to La Casa del Árbol, where the famous swing over the clouds awaits. The views are stunning, and there’s also a small shop with snacks and souvenirs.
Throughout the day, we made multiple stops at breathtaking waterfalls, each one more beautiful than the last. Carlos made sure we had plenty of time for pictures at every stop. One of the highlights was ziplining over a waterfall—I highly recommend choosing the Superman position and bringing your phone to record the experience. The scenery is truly unforgettable.
After a full morning of activities, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a colorful and welcoming hotel-restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the setting was just as impressive as the meal.
We ended the day with a visit to Pailón del Diablo, one of the most famous waterfalls in Ecuador. It was the perfect way to wrap up an already incredible day.
Carlos was kind, funny, and extremely attentive from start to finish. If you’re staying in Quito, don’t hesitate to book this tour. The entire experience felt personal and warm—they truly made us feel like part of the family. Every moment just kept getting better.
We returned to our hotel around 7:30 to 8:00 p.m., pleasantly exhausted and full of memories. This day was one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. Highly recommended!
