We absolutely loved our tour! The meeting point directions were perfect and we left on time with a group of 6 and our driver. Our guide was fantastic- so knowledgeable and passionate about Rome and we learnt so much about the history of the Appian Way. The route we took was to drive out past Circo Massimo and then onto the Appian Way. You do the start of it up to the main catacombs area and a section of cobbled road before heading back. The only thing I would recommend is to check which catacombs are open as I think San Sebastian are the better ones to visit (closed on a Monday). That said, ours was still very interesting, just a little bit bunched together with tour groups!
