I recently returned from a trip and can't help but share my impressions of the eSIM—the easiest and most cost-effective solution for internet access abroad. The biggest advantage is its simplicity. Immediately after purchasing it, I received a QR code in the Trip.com app. At the airport, while waiting for my luggage, I simply opened my phone's settings, scanned the code, and the eSIM loaded in a couple of minutes. It was a lifesaver after a long flight—no need to look for a kiosk or exchange physical cards.
The biggest pleasant surprise was the price. I compared options with other providers (Airalo, Holafly, Ubigi), and Trip.com turned out to be the most affordable. For example, for Thailand and throughout Asia, I could find a plan with 1 GB per day for a week for a price three times lower than some other popular services. This is money that would be nice to spend on something more interesting during your trip than internet. Best wishes to everyone, travel confidently, Trip.com will save you! I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.
