This esim is the best deal for Thailand. I stayed in Chiang Mai for two weeks and bought two 10 day esims. When one ran out I replaced it with another. You can top up with a on top package through the AIS app. While yes I does come with a local phone number I basically never used it. Like japan and Korea everyone uses Line for messaging, calls and even reservations. I personally recommend this ais esim for anyone coming to Thailand.★

Since we were traveling as a couple, I purchased two and, as instructed, scanned the QR code on each one to activate them the day before our trip. After arriving in Bangkok, I switched the settings as instructed and was able to connect immediately. Since it has LINE calling and face audio, I didn't use the phone number. Did it even have one? I guess I didn't need it. I used it for seven days as if I were in Japan, and had no problems at all. I got plenty of data. It's also reasonably priced, so I recommend it.
