I usually use a physical SIM card when traveling, but this time I was in a rush and didn't have time to buy one, so I tried using an eSIM for the first time. I thought it would be a lot of work, but it turned out to be so simple – just follow the instructions! The reception is great. It didn't load at startup, which I thought was a problem, so I turned it off and on again, and then it worked. It automatically connects to the network when crossing borders, which is very convenient! After this initial experience, I will definitely buy an eSIM to replace the physical SIM card in the future.★

We quickly cleared customs and passport control without any lines. The staff on both sides explained everything, guided us, and helped us. We even got a refund of the HKD 200 departure tax in Hong Kong.★

I boarded the bus from Taizi station. Several other buses are parked at the boarding area. Look for the bus shown on the information screen. A staff member will come 10 minutes before departure. Scan the QR code before boarding the bus. Seats are not assigned, so if you want to choose your seat, arrive early. You are guaranteed a seat all the way to Shenzhen Port, making it a comfortable and easy way to travel.★

No one knew why we were there or what we had booked until quite a while in. This is something Trip.com needs to communicate with staff at the Marriott and explain it clearly to them. Booked in English on an English speaking site and noone knew what we had ordered or if we had paid etc. We even got sent to the adjacent buffet first... But anyway, we got by eventually by using broken Chinese as the translation on an app didn't ring any bells either. But, Trip.com... communicate with the hotel if you're going to sell experiences to foreign tourists! Despite the minor inconvenience, the food was exceptional. The dim sum was freshly cooked nearby and all of it tasted phenomenal. There were six premium items on the menu that you could only choose once, then unlimited core items. We all ate a large amount of food and had excellent value for money. Don't be shy ordering and definitely don't be scared to ask for the menu back to order more food. It's an unlimited dining experience after all!★

It was a fantastic cruise! Departing from Shekou, the three-hour round trip included a visit to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. As the cruise ship slowly passed under the bridge, Wang Feng's "I Love You, China" played over the loudspeaker—it was truly moving, and my eyes welled up with tears. I felt so proud of my country. We boarded at 4 PM and saw the sunset. A very worthwhile cruise indeed!★
