Reviews: Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola Tour + Shannon Falls

A successful whole day trip from the beginning to the end.
Point-by-point pick-up at the agreed pick-up point in Vancouver at 08:30.
Detailed information on the various routes on the journey.
Short but sufficient stops on the Shannon waterfalls and the Sea-to-Sky gondola in Squamish.
Before arrival in Whistler, the bus driver has made very detailed information.
4 hours of stay in Whistler is sufficient, also for the gondel trips to both mountain summits.
You can also spend time comfortable in Whistler with shops and food.
We had a lot of luck with the sun's warm weather.
Departure in Whistler at 18:00 and return to the pick-up point in Vancouver at 19:45.
A successful day, including the dsnk of the fabulous bus driver and traveller in one person.

Actually went with Grayline tours.
Good day out with a charismatic guide who was very passionate and knowledgeable.
Driver was safe and efficient.
Sea to sky gondola was magnificent and totally worth while - could have done with at least another 30 minutes up here if not an hour - brilliant attraction.
As for Whistler? Simply don’t bother. If you like tourist traps with little other than average food stops and tacky gift shops then this is the place for you. If not avoid like the plague and find another way to get to the sea to sky gondola. This will save you a great deal of wasted time (circa 4 hours) as well I suspect a chunk of change.
The stops at the lookout and the falls on the way home are pleasing but not worth travelling all the way up to Whistler for the excuse to drop in on the way home and in fact the falls is very close to the gondola so could perhaps be combined here.
Whistler is grossly over rated out of season and I recommend not bothering (in case you have not already got that message!) .★

The Brittania Mine Museum is a MUST SEE and DO! Every aspect of our visit to the museum was fascinating, informative and engaging . As a former grade 4 teacher in Ontario, “Mining” was a component of the curriculum many years ago. My students would have LOVED this facility . It certainly made the life of a miner and the mining facility itself “come to life “. Don’t miss out on this unique excursion.
