I booked a group tour through Ctrip, which was very convenient. The meeting point was right at one of the exits of Nagoya Station. The tour guide took attendance and assigned seats. The guide gave a brief introduction to the attractions and then distributed a map. I had heard about Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village from colleagues; it was said to be very beautiful, especially in winter after a snowfall. Although I went on October 7th, the scenery was still stunning. I never imagined there would be such a beautiful village deep in the mountains. There weren't too many tourists, and everyone strolled happily and comfortably through the village.

We had so much fun! The “Ninja” was great and fun and even the teenager enjoyed himself — though his little sister edged him out in ninja skills! Recommend as an activity for families.
