A fabulous afternoon on the lake and through the caves. The caves and glow worms were amazing. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommend it. Don’t leave NZ without doing this!!

This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to New Zealand. I really enjoyed this and actually was better than expected. We had a lot of fun and had a very good day out on the water exploring and enjoying the jet boats. This is a really exciting and wonderful way to spend an afternoon or morning! Wish I had one of these at home just to play around with their blast! We had kids on our tour and they had as much fun as the adults and it was perfect for both.

Super nice scenic helicopter ride with 2 stops in cool area. The weather was bad in the morning and the proactively rescheduled for the afternoon. Very good communication. Take the front seats :-)

Reviews: Te Anau: Glowworm Caves Guided Tour

This was an amazing tour. Some tips for others. Put on insect repellent before you go. The boat to Cavern House was good. We had a small briefing in the house and then went in groups of 12 into the cave. Do not take a bag - leave in Cavern House if you’ve brought one. You start by walking on a metal path in the cave, see a waterfall in the cave and then you get on a small boat (in the dark) inside the cave (bags are annoying here). There is no opportunity inside the cave to stop and get things from your bag. You go on a small boat ride (they pull it along a chain) and see the glow worms. People see them different colours, which I didn’t know until after - so take note! I only saw them as green. You return to cavern house for a hot chocolate, tea or coffee and a short explanation about the worms before returning on the cruise. You can’t take photos inside the cave. Download some from the Internet after, for the memories.
