Reviews: Hokkaido Lake Tōya + Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley + Snowmobile + Bear Ranch|Group option for 9–13 people
Guest User2025-12-11
Both snowmobiling and the bear ranch are worth experiencing. Before setting off, I thought they were similar, but in the end, I went to both. Snowmobiling is better with one per person (15,000 yen per snowmobile, cash only). At the bear ranch, it's 1,000 yen per person, and food is 200 yen per bag, also cash only. You can bring apples—I love their apples—it's really cool! The itinerary is a bit hardcore, so buy plenty of convenience store snacks to eat on the go.

Reviews: Japan Hokkaido Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley & Lake Tōya & Otaru 1-day tour | Depart from Sapporo
Guest User2025-10-19
Japan's geological structure is very similar to New Zealand's. Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley sits atop an active volcano. Lake Toya, with its blue skies and white clouds, is a perfect photo opportunity. Otaru's shopping district offers a wealth of delicious food and sightseeing, perfect for a few hours of strolling and photo-taking. This day trip combines several scattered attractions south of Sapporo. The guide was very entertaining and chatty, providing comprehensive insights into Hokkaido's culture, history, and attractions. Overall, I was very satisfied!
Reviews: Noboribetsu Hell Valley, Lake Toya & Showa Shinzan One-Day Tour [Guaranteed Departure for One Person]

I joined the tour on November 15th. The bus was almost full, with people from many different countries in the group, but it was always our compatriots who were late. Sigh. Our tour guide, Vivi, was very good. She had to speak the exact same thing in three languages, which must have been quite tiring. The stops at each attraction were short. It was pretty much a quick visit, but there was no other way, as it was too far and time was tight. The weather was so-so this time, mostly overcast, but during a brief break in the sunshine, I saw half of Mount Yotei and immediately took a picture.
