Reviews: Vienna: Light of Creation Votivkirche Immersive Light Show

Hello, I attended the show "Light of Creation" on August 18th. The idea is brilliant, and the Votivkirche is an ideal building; it is capable of providing an uplifting feeling in and of itself. The execution was certainly technically perfect, and the show felt like it lasted longer than 30 minutes. I particularly liked sequences where the lighting emphasized the building's structures. My only comment would be that sometimes less would have been more, or I would have preferred a dynamic range from pianissimo to fortissimo. Both the music and the accompanying images overwhelmed me at times; there was too much in a short time. I still remember the countless animals sweeping across the ceiling; I would have preferred individual animals, growing in number until they became a herd or a mixture, thus visually increasing the effect rather than a tsunami. Nevertheless: Chapeau!★

A lot of interresting animals, not crowdy, everything is clear and understandable, sighns, where you might go. Big aquariums, nice panorama view on the top of floors.★

Our guide (Siri) was very helpful and knowledgeable! Skipping the lines to the palace was great…. We didn’t have to wait in a single line! You do not have to get there early either, there are enough parking spots(in the morning tour), and no waiting! The guide/check in is very easy to find! The palace was very interesting especially with a guide telling you all of its secrets! I would not recommend without a guide, but with a guide it is amazing and I strongly recommend!★

Nice way to see more of the country outside of Vienna. Beautiful lake country and stops at the key SoM locations, as well as some nice history lessons during the long drive. Michael was a great guide. Don’t forget to tip your driver.
