Things to do in Huangshi

Xian Island Lake is hailed as "the most wondrous lake in Hubei," with its thousands of islands scattered like pearls. The core experience involves ascending to the "Sky City" glass observation deck for panoramic views, followed by a boat trip among the islands. It's recommended to allocate half a day and choose one or two routes for island exploration; a clear day is ideal.

This is a less-traveled spot with a nice environment. In September, Yellowstone is filled with the fragrance of osmanthus blossoms, and the scenery here is serene. There's not much to do, really; it's the kind of place you can look around in a bit and then leave. But for that first glance, I thought it was alright, quite nice.

It was great. Fairy Island Lake is dotted with numerous islands, offering a panoramic view from Sky City. It was crowded on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, but not unbearable. The cable car wait was only 5 minutes. I must commend the staff who managed the process: although each cabin seats 8 people, they basically divided the passengers into one cabin per family, instantly maximizing the experience. There are many restaurants near the entrance, so you can eat before going in.

Drive to the Yellowstone Maple Grove's Grand Canyon. Park your car directly at the scenic area ticket office, saving you the hassle of traveling. From the ticket office, a 15-minute walk, accompanied by the forest breeze and the chirping of birds, will take you to the Magic Carpet. For a lazy and effortless ride, the Magic Carpet's gentle ascent is a great option. For a more down-to-earth experience, hike along the asphalt road that runs parallel to the Magic Carpet, enjoying the lush greenery along the way. After the Magic Carpet ride, it's another 6-minute walk to the cave entrance's secondary ticket gate. Tell us your shoe size, and you'll receive your waders and helmets instantly. Children will also receive adorable onesies, like exclusive gear for your exploration. As soon as you step into the canyon, the summer heat is left behind, and a refreshing coolness washes over you, accompanied by a moist air. However, this coolness can be quite persistent; if you stay too long, a slight chill can seep through your clothes, becoming a pleasant little nuisance in the height of summer. The stream beneath my feet is a flowing poem, so clear that I can see the gravel and swaying water plants at the bottom. As I trekked barefoot upstream, the cool water washed over my ankles, instantly dissipating much of the summer heat. While waders are practical, they can cause some heel pain after wearing them for a while. Preparing soft insoles will make your steps lighter. The canyon's karst caves hold secrets dating back eons, with the outlines of stalactites looming in the dim light. For those fascinated by geology, a powerful flashlight will reveal the texture of the rock layers and the traces of time wherever the beam passes, each pattern like a diary written by the earth. This journey to the center of the earth offers both the gift of coolness and the wonders of nature. Even the tiny imperfections become vivid footnotes in my later reflections.

It is a mountain that is recommended to climb in the eastern Hubei region. It is free to enter the scenic area. If you are physically fit, the scenery along the way is worth climbing. If you are with children, you can take the scenic area tour bus or watch the immersive experience performance, which requires additional tickets.

There's an OCT (Overseas Chinese Town) near my home, which is sure to be crowded during the May Day holiday. Overcrowded attractions like these don't offer a great experience. So, I chose Huangshi instead, and it proved to be the right decision. The overall environment is very nice, and the route is quite reasonable. Although I didn't do much planning, it was easy to avoid missing anything along the way. There are plenty of snacks and restaurants, which is very convenient. The staff were also very friendly, and even for the extra-cost activities like VR, go-karting, and balloon popping, the prices were reasonable, and the staff were very helpful.

The biggest highlight of Xisai Mountain is its direct view of the Yangtze River, offering a wide and unobstructed vista. Standing on the mountain, you can take in the entire river landscape. Moreover, there are sightseeing buses for going up and down the mountain, so you don't have to climb it yourself. This makes it easy to bring elderly people and children, which is a big plus.

湖北黄石的磁湖风景区是一个免费的风景区，而且这里围绕磁湖风景区有多个不同的景点，有团城山公园，未苏湾，人民广场，科技馆，博物馆，明月桥，磁湖湿地公园等几个大景点。非常适合徒步，溜娃，骑行，而且不用担心找不到自行车，在黄石，共享单车到处都有，很好找的。

It's definitely worth a visit. It's very well renovated. If you go here, you don't need to go to the Yellowstone Museum, which only explains copper smelting methods in the most detail.

The cave is cool, fun, and full of fun. The staff at the scenic spot are super nice. My husband found that his car keys were lost in the parking lot. He went to the monitoring room to check, and then called the staff of the project we had played to inquire. Finally, the staff in charge of rafting found it in a pile of plastic clothes. It was really touching. I give a thumbs up to the scenic spot and the staff 👍👍👍
