China Dinosaurs Land is a large dinosaur culture-themed amusement park, known as the "Jurassic of the East." The park creates scenes around the thread of dinosaurs from survival and reproduction to evolution and extinction, integrating science popularization exhibits with mechanical amusement rides, allowing visitors to step into the ancient dinosaur world while having fun. As the landmark building of the park, the exterior of the China Dinosaur Museum makes full use of biomimetic architectural techniques. Seen from afar, it looks as if three dinosaurs are raising their heads high and whispering to each other, while a plump and enormous dinosaur body presents a freehand-style form, thus outlining the museum's space for exhibition, entertainment, and science popularization. The total area of the museum is more than 20,000 square m, the highest point of the dinosaur heads reaches 71 m, and the highest point of the museum's dome reaches 36 m. The China Dinosaur Museum has five main halls and six auxiliary halls. Among them, the main halls include the atrium, exhibition hall, view hall, sightseeing hall, and film and television hall; the auxiliary halls include the entrance lobby, VIP reception hall, academic lecture hall, reserve exhibition hall, as well as spaces such as the rooftop garden and souvenir shop. The halls are connected through logical routes, with both separation and convergence, and are interrelated. With the history of biological evolution as the design background, it focuses on the conceptual main line of dinosaurs from survival, reproduction, and evolution to extinction, revealing the profound theme that life and the environment depend on each other and that humans must protect ecology and the environment. Park layout: The Dinosaur Park is divided into the China Dinosaur Museum, Lubula Area, Kuksuk Grand Canyon Area, Magic Rainforest Area, Dream Manor, Adventure Harbor, and Crazy Dinosaur People. Among them, the China Dinosaur Museum is the core venue for showcasing dinosaur culture; the thrilling mechanical amusement rides are mainly in "Kuksuk" and "Lubula" Thrilling rides: Numerous high-altitude mechanical amusement rides make this a destination for thrill-seekers: you can board the high-altitude swinging ride "Crazy Fire Dragon Drill" to experience an intense sensation of weightlessness; or climb aboard the "Babel Tower" to seek the thrill of a sudden plunge from the sky; there is also a 4D roller coaster that lets you experience the exhilaration of high speed and rapid spins in an instant. Relaxing activities: The park also offers relaxed and leisurely options: you can view a variety of Chinese dinosaur fossils in the China Dinosaur Museum, where you will learn about dinosaur culture. You can also try less thrilling rides such as the "Brontosaurus Roller Coaster," letting you seek fun in a bit of mild tension; in different venues, you can also watch programs such as musicals, magic shows, and live-action stunt performances. Water world and night park: Dinosaur Park's Jurassic Water World delivers a refreshing, exhilarating experience all summer long. Classic water attractions let you forget the summer heat, the cool water fun lets you unleash all your passion, and sizzling performances ignite every cell in your body. Let the kids enjoy an unforgettable summer vacation. Most attractions remain open in the evening as well, and you can experience the thrills of the water world's giant water slide, the Tornado, and the 30-meter plunge on the giant slide, or splash it out in a giant water fortress (the water world requires a separate admission ticket).

West Lake

4.7/5
37.4k reviews

West Lake is the core scenery of Hangzhou, with cloud-covered mountains on three sides and the city on one, and the two long causeways, Su Causeway and Bai Causeway, lie across the lake surface, dividing the water into several stretches large and small. Among the lakeside highlights, the "Ten Scenes of West Lake" handed down from the Southern Song dynasty rank first, and together with the later "New Ten Scenes of West Lake" and the "Three Reviews of the Ten Scenes of West Lake," over a hundred attractions spread out along the lake shore and the surrounding mountains, with pavilions, terraces, temples, and pagodas, gardens, causeways, and islands setting off one another against the distant mountains and nearby waters; the legend of the Broken Bridge, where Bai Niangzi and Xu Xian met, adds a touch of story to the lake and hills. There is no need to insist on visiting every spot; simply choosing a stretch of shoreline and wandering slowly is pleasant enough. You can explore West Lake on foot, by cycling, by the sightseeing electric shuttle that circles the lake, or by boat. The shuttle route makes exactly one full loop around the lake, saving effort and being convenient; cycling along the lakeside is leisurely and romantic, with many public bicycle rental points along the shore; if you want to take a boat, the several piers around the lake offer different boat types and routes, and it is recommended to take a boat to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon in the center of the lake while enjoying the lake views from the water along the way; alternatively, you can hail a rowboat at the lakeside and let the boatman row you around the lake for a more free and flexible experience. Attractions on the north shore are concentrated. The usual route starts from Lingering Snow on the Broken Bridge in the northeast corner, follows Bai Causeway to Solitary Hill, and along the way you can see cultural views such as the Xiling Seal Art Society, the Zhejiang Provincial Museum, the China Seal Museum, and Zhongshan Park–Pavilion for Releasing Cranes, taste a bowl of authentic West Lake vinegar fish at Louwailou, and then pass Xiling Bridge to the Temple of King Yue and Breeze-Ruffled Lotus at Quyuan Garden. In summer when the sun is strong, you might instead walk along Beishan Road, hide under the dense shade of the trees, and look at the curve of Broken Bridge and the swaying weeping willows on Bai Causeway; along the way there are many entrances where you can climb Baoshi Hill for high views; in the evening, the live performance Impression West Lake on Yue Lake is also well worth seeing. If you have plenty of time and energy, you can also get on the Su Causeway from around the Temple of King Yue and walk to enjoy the full view of West Lake. Hubin Road to Nanshan Road along the southeast shore is another area with a dense concentration of attractions. Hubin Road sits at the junction of the urban area and the scenic area, right next to the downtown commercial district, making it suitable for a short stop for travelers on a tight itinerary; by the lake there is also the iconic musical fountain and a cruise pier. From Hubin Road heading south along Nanshan Road, Orioles Singing in the Willows, the Long Bridge, Leifeng Pagoda, and Evening Bell at Nanping Hill line up one after another, and further west is Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor. The distances between adjacent attractions are convenient to cover on foot or by sightseeing bus, and you can choose a few to visit according to your preferences. Leifeng Pagoda and Evening Bell at Nanping Hill are best scheduled for the evening—listening to the bell at Jingci Temple and climbing Leifeng Pagoda to look down over the lakes and hills in the twilight are both excellent experiences.

Tai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic Spot is a peninsula in northern Lake Tai, named for its resemblance to a turtle raising its head. Here you can explore expansive garden complexes, cruise across Lake Tai's misty waters, discover hidden wonders on Taihu Fairy Island, or admire cherry blossoms in spring - truly experiencing why it's called "the finest spot of Lake Tai".Tai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic Spotthe artistic conception. Every spring, the spectacular cherry blossom display becomes a major attraction here, complemented by the lively cherry blossom festival. Tai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic Spot in Wuxi is surrounded by water on three sides, offering both the natural beauty of vast lakes dotted with sailing boats and the idyllic charm of rural landscapes with small bridges and flowing streams. It showcases the most breathtaking scenery of Taihu Lake. Taihu Fairy Island isTai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic SpotMust-experience highlights include the Taoist celestial palace and grotto statues blending Taoist and Buddhist elements. Ascending Luding Mountain on the peninsula offers panoramic views of the lakeside greenery, with graceful boat silhouettes visible on sunny days, showcasing Taihu Lake's vast beauty. As a premier cherry blossom destination, Tai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic Spot offers two unique experiences: first, a "land-water-air" panoramic viewing approach, and second, enchanting night blossoms illuminated by artistic lighting. The early cherry blossoms here typically bloom in early March, featuring mostly single or semi-double petals. Blossoms are categorized by season - early varieties last about one week from first bloom to petal fall, while late varieties bloom for 7–10 days. Temperature variations create 5–12 day gaps between these phases, when hybrid varieties flourish. The iconic Somei Yoshino cherries usually reach peak bloom in mid-to-late March (optimal viewing period), though exact timing depends on weather conditions - cold snaps may delay this floral spectacle. Summer is the perfect time to admire beautiful lotus blossoms. Tai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic Spot in Wuxi features numerous historical sites and private gardens built by former elites, including Hengyun Villa with its "Finest Spot of Tai Lake" archway and Changchun Bridge, as well as Wuxi's ancient temples.Guangfu TempleMoreover, savoring the traces left by literati and artists throughout history—such as inscriptions, calligraphy, and paintings scattered throughout the site—adds another layer to your visit.Tai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic SpotOne of the great pleasures here. If time permits, don't miss Wanlang Bridge - it's the perfect spot to catch a stunning sunset over Lake Tai. The Chongshan Gate (main entrance, located in the southeast of the attraction) at Tai Hu Yuantouzhu Scenic Spot in Wuxi serves as both entrance and exit, while the Dushan Gate (northern section) is exit-only. The attraction primarily consists of Yuantouzhu Peninsula and Taihu Fairy Island.Zhongdu MountainIt consists of multiple attractions, which typically take a full day to explore. On the first day of the Lunar New Year, climb Fragrant Hills Meiling to explore the plum blossoms. The entire Fragrant Hills scenic area is divided into two parts: Meiling and the lake. The scenic area is beautiful, with gentle mountain slopes and well-constructed trails. Whether it is a stone slab road or a wooden boardwalk, it is very suitable for leisurely hiking and is also very friendly to the elderly and children.

This was my second time visiting the Dinosaur Park. They added a lot of fun attractions for Halloween, but it was incredibly crowded. The queues for popular attractions were basically 1-2 hours or more. I suggest limiting the number of visitors to ensure a better experience.

Jiaoxi Ancient Town is like a melodious pastoral poem, telling the warmth of time. The ancient bridge lies across, the stream gurgles, and the white walls and black tiles are scattered in an orderly manner. Walking on the bluestone road and touching the mottled old walls, it seems that you can hear the echo of history. This place is quiet and simple, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but full of fireworks. Whether it is under the warm spring sun or in the drizzle, Jiaoxi Ancient Town exudes a unique charm that makes people intoxicated and nostalgic.

I went there in January. It is a beautiful riverside park. It is built on the mountain and integrates the architectural complex consisting of buildings, pavilions, pavilions and corridors with the human and natural landscapes such as mountains, water, bridges and cannons. Although it was built by man, it seems to be created by nature. It has become an ideal place for people to travel, vacation and relax.

This is the most worthwhile place to visit during the Spring Festival. Because during the holiday, you can drive directly to the visitor center in places where parking is impossible, and then go straight in to enter the scenic area. In the evening, many snack shops and restaurants are open, so you can eat and drink anything you can't find during the Spring Festival. There's also a musical fountain show and a sky lantern releasing activity for blessings in the evening. These sky lanterns cost 50 yuan each, and you can watch others release them – the effect is fantastic! There are also lantern and dragon lantern parades in the evening.

The Bund in Shanghai is a must-visit destination. On one side are a century-old cluster of European classical buildings, with the clock tower of the Customs House being particularly striking, its heavy stone pillars and exquisite carvings telling the story of the old city's history. On the opposite bank, the Lujiazui skyline is filled with skyscrapers, including the Shanghai Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center, and the Oriental Pearl Tower, all shining brightly. By day, they are imposing and grand, while at night they are dazzling with lights. It is recommended to visit in the evening, first strolling along the Bund promenade to enjoy the river view, and then waiting for nightfall to fall so that the lights of the buildings can be spread across the river, with light and shadow shimmering on the water, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.

Positive review. The only downside is the inconvenient transportation, especially after the event when crowds surge out. The free shuttle bus took us to a dark, dingy place, and getting a taxi was extremely difficult.
