Things to do in Kampong Jerudong

A recreational park in the city center, with a reservoir and hiking trails behind. It is the highest mountain in Brunei. You can see half of Brunei from the top of the mountain. People with physical strength can challenge it. The park path is very good, with some obstacles in the middle and some spectacular bushes very close to the city. It seems that this place is shared by many locals and some tourists. But it does help you exercise and make you sweat, and it is a good experience to climb here.

I walked along Kianggeh Road to Sungai Brunei, where the view suddenly opened up, with the Sungai Kianggeh flowing into the Brunei River. About 200 meters east to west between Jalan McArthur and the Brunei River lies the Bandar Seri Begawan Waterfront, where the Bandar Seri Begawan Royal Wharf is located. Standing here, you can see the wide river, small boats, and floating villages.

Jerudong is a quiet beach, some 20km from Bandar Seri Begawan. Close to the beach is a market that sells a range of foods, including seafood. Along the beach delicious red and orange durian are sold. There is a sign that suggests that swimming is not advised. At the time of my visit there was a lot plastic rubbish along tbe beach, which I cleaned up in three hours.
