Montmorency Falls is a waterfall formed at the mouth of the Montmorency River. It is very powerful, with a drop of 83 m. Large volumes of water pour over the sheer cliff and fall straight down, producing a deafening roar and a majestic sight. There are many viewing angles. A suspension bridge spans the cliff top, and standing on the bridge you can look down at the torrent as it drops beneath you. Hundreds of steps and viewing trails built into the cliff lead down to the base of the falls, where you can look up at the breathtaking curtain of water. From the surrounding high ground you can also see the St. Lawrence River and L'Ile-d'Orleans Regional County Municipality. In warm weather, a via ferrata route is set up on the cliff, allowing climbers to ascend along fixed cables for a closer, different perspective of the falls.

Quartier Petit Champlain is the birthplace of Old Quebec and is often considered one of the oldest commercial streets in North America. The street is narrow and paved with cobblestones, lined with stone cottages. Historically, fishermen, dockworkers, and shipbuilders lived here for generations, while today it is filled with rows of small handicraft and souvenir shops, as well as galleries and restaurants. Many shops are run by local artists and artisans, and strolling through it, you can easily feel as if you are in a small European town. There are many noteworthy details on the street. The massive murals painted on the building gables use trompe-l'œil techniques to depict the fires, landslides, and wars that this district has experienced. The Breakneck Stairs at one end connect to the Upper Town, and the platform in the middle of the stairs is a viewpoint for overlooking the entire street.

The fortress remains an active military installation, where soldiers' daily drills and public tours take place in the same area. Every summer, the long-standing tradition of the Changing of the Guard ceremony is held on the parade ground, with soldiers marching in formation to the sound of military music.
