Things to do in Kumasi

Kumasi Zoological Gardens

Located in the heart of Kumasi, KumasiZoo is a good-sized zoo that can be easily added to a visit to the city. Home to a variety of native and exotic animals, including lions, monkeys, crocodiles and a variety of birds, the zoo offers visitors the opportunity to see and learn about the animals up close. The zoo is designed to be pedestrian friendly, so visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the paths and enjoy the natural environment. Information boards provide interesting facts about the animals, making the zoo suitable for families and educational groups. For the best experience, it is recommended that visitors visit in the morning or late afternoon when the weather is cooler and the animals are more active. KumasiZoo may be more comfortable to visit during the dry season (November to March). Visitors should wear light clothing and bring sun protection and drinking water. There is a small dining area on site, offering basic food options.
