Gunung Gading National Park
Mount Gading National Park is located in the western half of Sarawak, covering an area of about 4,101 hectares, about two hours' drive from downtown Kuching, and is famous for the giant Rafflesia flower in the world. Rafflesia flowers can be up to one meter in diameter and are parasitic plants. Since this flower has no leaves and stems, it must be parasitic on the vines. It has no fixed flowering period, the gestation period of flowers is as long as nine months, but its life is only five days. Before coming to the park, you can call the park management office to see if the raffia is blooming. There are beaches, waterfalls and tropical rain forests in Mount Garding National Park. Sarawak Cultural Village
The Sarawak Cultural Village is located at the foot of Mount Santubong, covering an area of 17 acres. In my opinion, this is a must visit place for first timer visitor to Kuching. Here, you may have an opportunity to learn the multi culture in Sarawak. The cultural show at 11.30am is superb, we really enjoy the visit to Sarawak Cultural Village.
