Triumphal Arch of Moscow

Triumphal Arch of Moscow was built to commemorate the Russian army's victory over Napoleon's army in 1812. It was designed by architect Bove, with sculptures by Vitali and Timofeyev. Built between 1829–1834, it originally stood in Tverskaya Zastava Square. It was dismantled in the 1930s due to urban redevelopment and rebuilt in 1968 on Victory Square near Poklonnaya Hill according to the original design, making it a monument that was "born twice." The arch is 28m high. Between the six pairs of cast-iron columns stand statues of soldiers wearing pointed helmets and armor, with one hand holding a shield and the other a spear. The reliefs in the niches above depict the scene of the French army being expelled from Moscow and the city's liberation, while the frieze is embedded with dozens of medallions cast with the coats of arms of the cities that participated in the war. At the top of the arch is a Chariot of Glory pulled by six horses, with a winged Goddess of Victory holding a laurel wreath overlooking the city. On the bronze plaque below the chariot is engraved Kutuzov's famous quote: "You saved the motherland with your blood, and each of you is a savior of the motherland." The entire sculpture group is rich in detail and magnificent, making it a popular photo spot both day and night. It is adjacent to Victory Park. Not far away, in front of the cylindrical Museum-Panorama The Battle of Borodino, stands an equestrian bronze statue of Field Marshal Kutuzov. As part of the same architectural complex commemorating the War of 1812, it is worth including them in the same itinerary.

Since 1923, the Nova Virgin Cemetery has been a cemetery of celebrities. More than 26,000 celebrities of various Russian historical periods are buried here. Writers Gogol, Chekhov, Fadeev and Ostrovsky, painter Isaac Levitan, film actor Shukshin, ballet artist Ulanova, famous politician Khrushchev, Mikoyan, Gromyko, the wife of Brezhnov, the world's first astronaut Gagarin, military strategists, artists and scientists are buried here, and almost every tombstone is a piece of sculpture. Visiting Celebrity Mausoleums These great men who once played a huge role in promoting the development of Russian history tell the world their different life stories through their unique tombstones. Khrushchev's tombstone is composed of three black and white marbles intersecting each other, with a stone head in the middle; the image of the heroine Zoya's tombstone is very touching: her hands are tied behind her back, her clothes are broken, her bare chest is erect, and her double Legs slightly bent, head held high back. Wang Ming's tomb is also here, a bust statue wearing a Chinese tunic suit, looking straight ahead. The tombstone of the famous ballet dancer Ulanova is a piece of pure white marble. Her graceful dance will always be left on the inscription like a curtain, so that the world cannot forget it. The founder of the circus, Yuri Nikulin, sits in a pine forest and looks at his faithful friend lying in front of him, the wise dog, who is said to have died on the same day as his dog, this is the soul The result of blending is more sincere and moving than human emotions. These various shapes express the identity and characteristics of the deceased. Feel the Russian cemetery culture In the hearts of Russians, the New Virgin Cemetery is not a place to bid farewell to life, but a sacred place to reinterpret life and purify the soul. The New Virgen Cemetery is full of strong cultural charm. The art of the tomb owner's soul and the tombstone are skillfully combined to form a unique Russian cemetery culture. The New Virgin Cemetery displays the entire history of Russia, each tombstone seems to be a page in history, and the sculptures in the cemetery have their own characteristics, which is the epitome of the development of the entire Russian sculpture art. Next to the Novo Virgin Cemetery is the Novo Virgin Monastery, including the Smolensk Church built in 1524. This church has 5 domes and is golden in the sun, which contrasts with the monastery's brown walls and lush ancient wood. .

The Triumphal Arch, located in the center of a busy street in western Moscow, is almost identical in design to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. However, this arch was built to commemorate the Russian victory over Napoleon in 1814. At the top of the arch is a statue of the goddess of victory, holding a laurel wreath, with wings on her back, and driving a six-horse chariot. Between the pillars are four statues of Russian soldiers, clad in armor and carrying shields and spears. The entire arch is magnificent and a popular spot for tourists to take photos.

The biggest attraction here is the tombstone sculpture art. These special tombstones show the stories, achievements, life and other aspects of the tomb owners, just like seeing the real person, and also represent the highest level of Russian sculpture art.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow is located in the Alexander Garden outside the red walls of the Kremlin on the northwest side of Red Square. It was built on the eve of the Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War in 1967. On the dark red marble mausoleum facing north and running east-west, bronze sculptures of helmets and military flags are displayed slightly to the west. The shapes are simple and bright, and the meaning is profound. There is a convex five-star torch in front of the tomb. The flame in the center of the five stars has been burning since it was built and has never been extinguished. It symbolizes that the spirit of the martyrs will always illuminate the world.

Lenin's Mausoleum is a famous building in Moscow. Located on the west side of Red Square, it is built of red granite and black feldspar. The body of Lenin, the mentor of the proletarian revolution, is placed in a crystal coffin inside the building, covered with the Soviet flag. His face and hands are illuminated by special lights, clear and peaceful. In 1994, Lenin's Mausoleum was recognized as a "World Historical and Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO.

We loved everything about the circus. Especially the fact that we found ourselves in a rather awkward situation. The voucher with the QR code didn't open during the trip. Thanks to the circus administrator for understanding our situation, taking the time to find our reservation.

It is worth visiting. The manor is very large, and the buildings inside are very imposing. There are also ruins in front of the main palace, which all reflect the life of the Tsar at that time. There are also sculptures of designers who built the palace, which reflect the artistic level of the time. The lake view is also very beautiful.
