Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, located in Muscat, the capital of Oman, is a national grand mosque commissioned by Sultan Qaboos to commemorate his 30-year reign and gifted to the nation. The entire complex is built with hundreds of thousands of tons of Indian sandstone. Its white exterior walls are elegant and solemn, and five minarets surround it, which, together with the central grand dome, form a striking city landmark in Muscat. The core of the visit is the square main prayer hall, which can accommodate thousands of worshippers. The floor is covered by a single hand-woven Persian carpet, which was woven by over 600 Iranian weavers over approx. 4 years. It blends classic patterns from Tabriz, Kashan, and Isfahan, presented in over 20 different shades of color. Looking up, you will see an Italian crystal chandelier adorned with hundreds of thousands of crystals, which complements the carpet beneath your feet. Together with the outer courtyard, corridors, and a separate women's prayer hall, the entire mosque can accommodate approx. 20,000 worshippers at one time.Oman · Muscat

The souq is full of shops selling a variety of goods, including handicrafts, spices, jewelry and traditional clothing. The Wassibi Desert is located in the eastern part of Oman. The vast desert is covered with large and small undulating sand dunes, with occasional acacia trees and thorn bushes growing between the ochre sand. There are also many camps here. Every year, donkeys come here from all over the world, or take a 4-wheel drive jeep, or ride a local camel, and go deep into the desert hinterland. In the evening, sit on a sand dune to enjoy the sunset, then enjoy a delicious meal. The stars twinkle in the desert night, and you sleep in the quiet desert like this. A large number of Bedouins still live in the desert and live a nomadic life, herding goats, sheep and camels. There's a good chance you'll bump into their marquee on your tour, and if you get the chance, have a sip of Bedouin tea or wine, and Omani coffee is great. It is a rare experience to ride the sand on the dunes in a four-wheel-drive jeep. It is as exciting as riding a roller coaster to get up and down quickly. The only suggestion is to remember to fasten your seat belts.Oman · Wahiba Sands
Jebel Akhdar

Akkadar Mountain is translated as Green Mountain. It is located between Nizwa and Muscat, with an altitude of more than 2,000 meters. Therefore, in Oman, which is hot all the year round, it is very cool and has become a summer resort for locals in summer. If you go into the mountains, it is generally recommended to take a four-wheel drive vehicle. After climbing, you can see very beautiful and deep canyons and spectacular mountain views. There are many small villages scattered in the mountains. Several villages such as Ayin are famous for the production of rose wine. They are all famous for their fragrant rose wine and charming rose gardens. Among the cliffs in the mountains are terraced orchards cultivated by farmers, planting roses, wheat, oats, pomegranates, apricots and figs, all irrigated by the ancient Farage canal. Rose wine is naturally the secret treasure worthy of a special mention here. Handmade shochu workshops are usually set up in dark caves, where fragrant rose petals are roasted in the furnace, smoke is floating in the caves, and the walls of the caves are scorched black. The petals are roasted and turned into a dark, soft pulp, which is then filtered several times to obtain a unique rose wine.Oman · Bald Sayt

Mutrah Corniche, located in the Mutrah district of Muscat, the capital of Oman, is one of the representative seaside landscapes in the area. The seaside boulevard stretches along the Gulf of Oman and Mutrah Port, with a harbor on one side where traditional wooden boats, yachts, and cruise ships are moored, and white buildings, mosques, shops, and cafes on the other side. Visitors can walk along the promenade, take photos, and enjoy views of the bay, mountains, and port. The temperature is more comfortable in the evening, and the sunset and nighttime lights are particularly beautiful.Oman · Muscat

'Faraji' is a unique method of agricultural irrigation that delivers water to almost every corner of the country without the use of machines. To talk about the principle, it is equivalent to what we call karez. There are still more than 3,000 falajides still in use in Oman, which are as dense as cobwebs. Farage is divided into several forms. The first is called "Dawoodia Fallaji", which is a canal built under the surface, several kilometers in length and tens of meters in depth. Its water source comes from rainwater collected in the subsoil of the mountains. The second is called "Gail Farage", which is a channel for drawing water from ground and semi-ground flowing water, generally about 500-2000 meters long, and its water source comes from a river valley. The third type of falaj is called "spring water falaj", which is a falaj whose water source comes directly from the spring, with a length of 200-1000 meters. In 2006, FalajDaris was listed as a World Heritage Site together with 4 other relatively large irrigation canals. It belongs to Dawoodia Falaj, about 2 kilometers long. It continues from the valley in the mountains to the center of the old city. The surrounding residents rely on it. Irrigation of crops and provision of life. There is a small FalajDaris park in the part closer to the city, showing a small section of water canal, and you can enter the park for free. The clear stream gurgling in the canals in the garden is very cool. There is also a monument with a brief introduction to the Farage canal system written in four languages on four sides.Oman · Nizwa

Misfat al Abriyyin

Misfat al Abriyyin

The ancient village of Misfat Abye, about a 3-hour drive from Nizwa, still retains its original appearance. The small houses in the village are located on the slopes. Ancient canals run through, dense vegetation, lush swathes of date palms, a desert oasis, a pretty village nestled between two deep ravines. Dry mountains contrast with lush palm gardens. When it comes to the luxuriant crops, the countless ditches that crisscross the orchards are indispensable. They travel under the stones, connecting the canyons.Oman · Misfat al Abriyyin
