Otaru Tenguyama
Otaru Tenguyama stands at an elevation of 532.5 meters and is a premier viewpoint offering panoramic views of Otaru city. Winter weather at the seaside is unpredictable; it might still be snowing down below while the mountains are bathed in sunshine. Therefore, it's best to choose a good day for your trip, especially if you plan to see the night view, as visibility needs to be excellent.
The biggest characteristic of Japanese tourist attractions is their excellent management; they are generally well-organized.
Furthermore, the facilities are great. There are plenty of rest areas while enjoying the scenery, and the prices for food and drinks are similar to those outside.
With reasonable ticket prices, it's definitely worth a visit to Otaru.

The night view is truly amazing 🤩 But it can be very slippery after snowing please be careful or wear suitable shoes to visiting mt tengu 👌 The process of getting the ticket is easy and effortless,just show qr code at counter,they will pass you a physical ticket to take the cable car 🚠

Otaru Sakaimachi Shopping Street is the commercial center here. The whole street is not too long and can be walked through in more than ten minutes. I especially recommend the Detachi Alley here, which is a very distinctive shopping district full of old-time Japanese-style buildings. The shopping street covered with snow adds to the romantic atmosphere.

There are many Kitaichi Glass shops along the Otaru Canal. They actually sell glass crafts. The prices are certainly not very affordable, but the crafts are really exquisite. There are cheap glass fountain pens for sale in the shop, which should be provided for tourists.
