Things to do in Pingjiang

This is a highly recommended attraction with stunning scenery. Standing on the glass suspension bridge offers a unique and unforgettable experience. A walk along the cliffside walkway adds to the experience. The most distinctive feature is the clover-shaped "Sky Eye" at the summit, offering a 360-degree panoramic view as if floating among the clouds, pushing the limits of the glass suspension bridge.

It's incredibly beautiful, like being in a fairyland. It's especially cool in the mountains during the summer, and breathing in the fresh air is invigorating. It's also very close to Changsha. I recommend everyone spend a day visiting it.

The hotel's soundproofing was excellent; I slept very soundly at night without being disturbed. The room was spacious and bright, with plenty of natural light, and the air conditioning was very quiet. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design was very well done; highly recommended.

A leisure day trip. The weather was really good, a little sunny, and there were many rapeseed flowers nearby, which was very photogenic. There was no store in the scenic area. Climbing the mountain was still a little tiring. I couldn't walk anymore, so I bought a boat ticket in the end. Overall rating 4.8 points

Chunxi Town Scenic Area is located in Lianyun Mountain, Pingjiang County, and it only takes one and a half hours to drive from Changsha. Chunxi Town Scenic Area is a large-scale comprehensive scenic area integrating entertainment, catering, leisure and vacation, outdoor sports, etc. There are inns, youth hostels, water bars, private schools, farmhouses, shadow plays, fire dragon dances, Moonlight Rock (the former site of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Special Committee)...

Lianyunshan Forest Park has charming scenery, beautiful landscapes, and is a natural oxygen bar. It has Tuolong Gorge rafting, which has a large drop, is thrilling, cool and pleasant, and is extremely fun. However, it is crowded, so it is recommended to avoid weekends and golden holidays.

It was my first time to go rafting in Lianyun Mountain. I felt very thrilling during the process, especially in the rapids and drop places, which made my heart beat faster and excited. It was a great experience

Orange Island is a bit of a mixed experience, and I'm honestly not entirely sure whether I'd consider it a must-visit in Changsha.It's a large, green, and pleasant park, with beautiful riverside views and plenty of space for walking. If you enjoy places with historical significance or simply want to experience a different side of the city, it's definitely worth considering.Most visitors seem to take the sightseeing train to the southern end of the island, where the famous Mao Zedong statue is located. That's also where you'll find plenty of people taking photos, so don't expect a particularly quiet experience.The main downside is that visiting the island takes quite a bit of time, especially if you want to explore it properly. And while it's certainly a nice place, I'm not sure the experience justifies spending several hours here if you have a limited amount of time in Changsha and other places you'd like to see.On the other hand, if you're simply looking for a relaxing walk through a green park, with opportunities to stop by the river and enjoy the scenery, it's a lovely option.Overall, I'd say it's worth visiting if you have some extra time or are particularly interested in Chinese history. Otherwise, I wouldn't necessarily put it at the very top of your Changsha itinerary.

The experience was great. I took the train back and forth, which was very interesting. The stream was cool and clear, and there were many small fish. I drove for two hours and rushed there early in the morning. There were not many people, and the whole scenic area was ours.
