Things to do in Ponce

This mansion is a must-see for anyone visiting Ponce. It is very elegant and full of history. The tour does a great job explaining how the house was used, what unique features it had when it was built, and more. You start the tour at the cafe and the employee behind the bar/café, Conrad Vargas, is very nice, friendly, and nice. We had a great conversation with him before and after the tour as he shared a lot of useful information not only about the mansion but also about the city of Ponce and Puerto Rico in general. On top of that, Conrad helped us after the tour as we were trying to organize our trip/staycation as this was when the coronavirus outbreak was just beginning. I even left my sunglasses inside after the tour and he went out of his way to bring them to me. Thank you so much Conrad! I can't wait to come back! Definitely try the delicious Piña Colada before and after your tour. If you're not a fan of fruity drinks, grab some other rum before and after the tour and enjoy the view from the garden.
