Cape Cod is also known as Cape Cod, named after an English explorer, Bartholomew Gosnold, who arrived here in 1602 and was loaded with cod. In 1620 Protestants landed at Provincetown at the top of Cape Cod before heading to Plymouth. Cape Cod is a hooked peninsula in Barnstable County, southern Massachusetts, United States. It is a sandy, glacial peninsula. Because the cape juts into the Gulf Stream, the climate is milder than inland; winters are warmer and summers are cooler. In summer, coastal towns and villages such as Barnstable, Bourne, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harvey Harwich, Hyannis, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet and Woods Hole all become populations Dense summer resorts and busy fishing ports. Driving on Cape Cod is a very pleasant thing. A large part of the peninsula is composed of sand, so you can often see large areas of sand extending into the sea, which is probably unique at this latitude. The sandy fields are dotted with clumps of wormwood and the sea water left behind after the high tide. The white grass, yellow sand and clear water are definitely a rare sight to see. In some places, the peninsula has become very narrow, only less than two kilometers wide. To the east is the vast Atlantic Ocean, and to the west is the Cape Cod Bay, which is also invisible. .Truro · 13.3km from Provincetown

The museum provides additional context and rounds out the narrative. The artifacts are fascinating and one can't help but feel deeply about the hardships and dangers of the journey. The variety of exhibits allows young children to grasp the story. See my photos for more details.

Cape Cod National Seashore is very beautiful if you travel there. The coastline is very long and well maintained. There are many trails for hiking, which is also a refreshing choice.
