Things to do in Sasebo

It’s absolutely stunning and feels like you’re in a magical world. I can’t even express how amazing it is.

The scenery is very beautiful, similar to Qiandao Lake but different. It is a scenery you can't see in China. I took a lot of beautiful photos. I was so happy! And you can actually climb to the highest point on the boat. The wind is super strong. There is a little excitement in the beauty~ There are no activities on the boat. You can just take pictures of the scenery by yourself. The two boats run once an hour. If you want to experience it, please pay attention to the time! The Japanese service staff are super polite. They greeted and bowed when they got on the boat, and they kept waving on the shore when the boat left the port.

There is a scenic area called Kujiu Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. Ninety-nine Island is actually located in the waters about 25 kilometers outside the port of Sasebo in Nagasaki. There are 208 islands, large and small, of which only four are inhabited, while the others are uninhabited islands. The best way to see Ninety-Nine Island is to look at the observation deck on the mountain. Unfortunately, it was overcast and the scenery was compromised. The other way to visit the island is to take a sightseeing boat, but when I arrived it was the February off-season, no boat, unfortunately.

There are more than 240 islands of various sizes around Sasebo City, but for the sake of image, they are named Kujuku Islands, which feels like the Thousand Islands Lake in Hangzhou. The best place to view these islands is Zhanhai Peak. You can take a look at the appearance of Kujuku Islands at Zhanhai Peak.

Kujukushima Zoological and Botanical Garden Mori Kira is a zoological and botanical garden located on a hill overlooking Kujukushima. Some 64 species (230 items) are on display, including giraffes, beavers and lions, which are very popular with children. The Penguin Pavilion has Japan's largest ceiling aquarium and Japan's first ultra-shallow aquarium. In addition, Kujukushima Pearl Sea Resort is a seaside resort where you can fully enjoy the nature of Kujukushima. Take the sightseeing ships "Kujukushima Sightseeing Ship Pearl Queen" and "Kujukushima Pirate Sightseeing Ship Mirai" to see the Kujukushima Islands up close.

Yumiharitake Observatory is located in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, not far from Sasebo Port. You can overlook the entire Sasebo Port and the scenery of the "Kyujuku Islands" from the observatory. The observatory is open to the public free of charge.
