Things to do in Sihong

I visited the wetland park during the National Day holiday. The scenery was beautiful, but the lotus leaves and reeds had already begun to wither. It should be even better if I come in August. The park has many flowers planted inside, making it a great place for taking photos.

Due to the recent surge in cases in Suqian, all public scenic spots in Suqian are free until April 27th. The lady at the visitor center, who wears glasses, was incredibly kind; seeing I was traveling alone without a car, she asked other drivers for a ride (thank you again to the couple who gave me the ride). Starting from the new Shuang Gou factory area, I toured several production processes (some are now automated). The workshop offered tastings of 72-proof raw liquor, and the cellars were filled with the rich aroma of alcohol. The old factory area was toured on foot; only the high-end liquor series is still handcrafted here. The foundations from the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties testify to Shuang Gou's long history.

Niushou Mountain in Nanjing is truly a place that will leave you breathless upon arrival! The Buddha Palace's architectural design is ingenious, with its massive dome exuding grandeur. Inside, the interplay of light and shadow on the openwork dome is exquisite, both refined and solemn, creating a powerful visual impact. Climbing the Buddha Tower offers panoramic views of the entire mountain range, with rolling green hills and lakes stretching as far as the eye can see—a truly expansive and breathtaking vista. The park is vast, with stunning scenery at every turn. The natural landscape blends seamlessly with the architecture, creating a tranquil and healing atmosphere. The park boasts comprehensive facilities, clear signage, and a well-planned route. Whether you're appreciating architectural beauty or seeking peaceful relaxation, it's a worthwhile destination and highly recommended!

It far exceeded my expectations; truly a must-see in Yangzhou. I'd long heard of the Slender West Lake's fame, and today's visit confirms it lives up to its reputation. The long, narrow lake meanders, its long embankment lined with willows in spring. The Five Pavilion Bridge is exquisitely beautiful, the White Pagoda stands serenely on the lakeside, and the Twenty-Four Bridges hold poetic charm. Swans and ducks frolic on the lake's surface. Strolling along the shore or boating on the lake, every step reveals a new scene, the water reflecting the pavilions, a scene of gentle elegance and ancient charm that is utterly captivating.

We entered the park at 2 PM, and the animals were quite active at that time. However, they went back to their enclosure around 4 or 5 PM. It's clear the park management puts a lot of thought into the setup and care of the animals; there are separate areas between people and animals to minimize human interference.

We were very fortunate that our top guide today was Ms. Dong Ling. Her professional expertise was solid; she didn't just recite from memory. She eloquently explained the stories and archaeological backgrounds behind each of the museum's treasures, making dry history vivid and easy to understand. My son and I deeply experienced the thousand-year history of Nanjing. Highly recommended!

It's very close to the scenic area, and there's a fantastic forest park right outside the hotel—perfect for an early morning walk; the air is so fresh! The hotel is very considerate; even though I got back late, they still let me dine on the second floor, and the food was good. It was very convenient to go straight back to my room after eating. The hotel environment is also great. I'd definitely choose it again next time; it's excellent value for money.

Sihong County is a very good scenic spot. With the breath of historical books, we took the steps of time travel and came here to check in in the drizzle. Although we didn't have the opportunity to climb the tower to look at it, it felt worth it overall!

The Confucius Temple and Jiangnan Examination Hall along the Qinhuai River in Nanjing offer stunning nighttime views. A stroll through them in the gentle autumn breeze is incredibly pleasant. There are free performances and some attractions that charge admission, so you can choose what to do. In short, anyone visiting Nanjing should definitely check them out.
