Things to do in Tonghua

The Goguryeo Royal City, Royal Tombs and Noble Tombs are located in Ji'an City, Tonghua City, Jilin Province. They are the remains of the slave state of the Goguryeo Dynasty. They mainly include Wunü Mountain City, Guonei City, Wandu Mountain City, 12 royal tombs, 26 noble tombs, King Gwanggaeto Stele and General Tomb No. 1. As a capital and tomb built in the early history, it reflects the influence of the Han nationality on other ethnic cultures and the unique style of mural art, showing the perfect combination of human creation and nature. On July 1, 2004, the Goguryeo Royal City, Royal Tombs and Noble Tombs were listed in the World Cultural Heritage List.

I visited Dalongwan and Diaoshuihu during the National Day holiday; the scenery was quite beautiful. Diaoshuihu mainly features forest trails. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the waterfall. The waterfall isn't very big; to appreciate the scenery along the way, don't focus all your expectations on the waterfall itself.

It's a free scenic spot, alright, nothing particularly amazing, but nice for a stroll.

An urban leisure park with a wide range of contents. There are many children's play facilities next to the Martyrs' Mausoleum, and there are also places to visit animals. The Jade Emperor Pavilion is under renovation and cannot be entered at present. The road to the back mountain requires climbing, which is quite tiring. The elm trees in the park are annoying and keep dripping water.

In fact, it is just a small street park. There are not even any relics. It is just that the address is verified to be here. Walking around the park, only a dirt slope in the middle looks like a relic, but there is no text sign.

I go twice a year, during the May Day and National Day holidays. When I go in May, the mountains are ablaze with rhododendrons and the lake is emerald green—it's absolutely stunning. When I go in October, the mountains around the lake become a riot of color again. The green, yellow, and red leaves paint a picture, reflected in the deep blue lake, creating a serene and relaxing scene. Although there aren't many tourist attractions, I really enjoy the leisurely and stress-free pace of the trip, where I can appreciate the scenery without feeling tired.

The quality of the air in Yunfeng lake is absolutely Serene and the neverending views are nothing short of awesome and inspiring.

I searched the map and it seemed quite far away, so I thought I'd just go to KFC. But when I got to KFC, I found many people carrying corn and vegetables. I walked in and found that I was at the entrance of the morning market, which was right in front of Huaming Holiday Hotel 🏨, hahahaha [Applause R] The morning market is very big. There are many local specialty products on this side. It is the season when local peaches 🍑 come down. I bought some to try on the way. There are also many ginseng vendors. The small ones are a few yuan each, and the bigger ones are about twenty~ [Drinking milk tea R] Walking in, there are several breakfast stalls, all of which are full of people. There are many delicious foods, such as fried dough sticks, steamed buns, wontons, mutton soup, fire cakes, egg pancakes... Finally, we finally walked to a stall with a seat and ate wontons... We also bought freshly made rice cakes, which are 10 yuan per catty. This box is 15, so sticky~ [Snickering R] After eating, we walked along the river again. It was still a bit stuffy in the morning. Compared with the light rain yesterday, this morning was particularly fresh, and it was clearer to see the other side~ Go back to the hotel to pack up and continue our journey!

This scenic spot is really a very suitable place for the whole family to travel. Especially for bringing children out to play, there is also a children's play area, a natural scenery check-in spot 👍There are also performances and bonfire parties in the evening!
